ABOUT BAPTISM
Baptism is a significant step of obedience in the life of a believer. Once we have personally trusted Jesus as our Lord and savior, the Scriptures teach that we should each be baptized. Baptism has nothing to do with joining a church, but it is your public declaration of your private decision to trust Jesus with your life. This is the reason why we often refer to it as “going public” with our faith. When Christians are submerged under water through baptism, they identify with the death and burial. As they are raised out of water, they identify with His resurrection (Romans 6).
ARE YOU READY TO BE BAPTIZED?
If you are ready to take your next step in faith through baptism, make plans to attend our “Baptism Sunday” services which near the end of every month. Read below to learn more information about how people take the step of baptism on Baptism Sundays.
Baptism Sundays are every 3rd Sunday of the month where we offer spontaneous or if you are interested in begin baptized during this time please email us at info@theheartlandchurch.com and our team will be happy to assist you.
WHERE DO I GO ON BAPTISM SUNDAY?
At the end of both of our Sunday services, a table will be in the lobby directly in front of the HC Baptismal Fountain identified by baptism signage. Volunteers will be stationed around the table ready to guide you through the baptism process. If you have any medical conditions or special physical considerations which would prohibit you from stepping up or down steps or being fully submerged in water for a few seconds, please tell the volunteers so that we can accommodate you.
SHOULD I BRING ANYTHING?
Just bring yourself, your friends and family. We provide your shirt, shorts, towels, undergarments etc. If you have any medical conditions or special considerations which might need to be known in advance, please fill out the form below and let us know.
