And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you…”

Matthew 28:18-20

Since its inception, Heartland Church has worked together to form strategic partnerships with organizations and individuals across our city, nation and world to reach those that we cannot reach. We believe God has called us to leave a legacy that stretches far beyond our individual lives. By joining together, we’re able to do far more together than we could ever do our our own. The result of our years of work and collaboration is Legacy Missions. Legacy Missions at HC has five lanes that each seek to impact a different segment of the mission field. Whether you want to impact those on the other side of the planet through global missions, have a desire to help those recovering from natural disasters or want to reach into your own backyard, we believe that these lanes represent the heart of God. You can learn more about the various arms and functions below. By continuing to partner together to invest intentionally, we will bring significant change to thousands of people while achieving the highest purpose of bringing glory to God.

All throughout the Scripture, there is a Biblical mandate that exists to pray for and bless the nation of Israel. We see in the Bible that God instructs us to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Psalms 122:6) and “give Him no rest until He establishes Jerusalem and makes her a praise in the earth” (Isaiah 62:7).

As a church, we have committed to sow a “tithe of the tithe” — the first 1% of all tithe — into building life-giving churches for the advancement of the gospel in the nation of Israel. In 2018, HC has committed to sow a minimum of $11,000 into the nation of Israel. Through our partnerships there, we believe that God is moving in that region.

Our Partner:
KING OF KINGS CHURCH – JERUSALEM, ISRAEL
King of Kings Church is the home of the largest Christian church in the nation of Israel and supports dozens of ministries and Messianic Jewish congregations throughout the country that are committed to building and raising up Messianic Jews. HC has taken trips in 2017 and Pastor Dan Dean is leading a trip in 2018.

Through our strategic partnerships, we have the opportunity to help build the cause of Christ, raise up more leaders and plant more churches in the most critical places on earth. Heartland’s approach to global missions is guided by the principle that “less is more.” Our goal through our strategic partnerships is to not just to sow, but to go into the regions that we are helping and to make a big difference in those regions. By giving more to fewer global partners, we can make a bigger impact. Excluding our relationships in Israel, below are some of our international partners.

MEXICO MINISTRIES
Led by Larry Myers, HC has partnered with Mexico Ministries to build and provide churches of worship throughout the country for the poor, needy and often indigenous people of the region. Over the span of a week, a team of HC men travel and construct churches. Without our support, these people will have no place to worship. It is one of our great joys to see these buildings filled to capacity with believers who are eager to gather together to worship God. Interested in joining our next trip to Mexico? CARMEL COMMUNITY CHURCH – NEW DELHI, INDIA
Led by Rev. Koshy and Joicy Baby, Carmel Community Church works to share the gospel in one of the most persecuted regions of the world. In addition to their weekly services, CCC cares for thousands of slum kids with education, meals, basic necessities while also sharing the message of the hope of the gospel with them. Every two years, HC takes trips where partners can participate in ministering to the people of India.

THE MASTER CARES – UGANDA, AFRICA
In the country of Uganda, The Master Cares has set up a network of leaders who are eager and willing to take up the Cross, follow Jesus, and work to build up their country. By giving the people the means by which they can build and develop their homes, we can partner with them to show them Jesus to truly transform communities and future generations. Master Cares provides schooling, meals, churches and dozens of other services to the people throughout the region. Heartland has contributed tens of thousands of dollars to this initiative and built water wells, provided medical clinics, helped sponsor children and assisted in building main school buildings.

ONE CHILD MATTERS – CENTRAL AMERICA
Heartland has recently began a partnership with One Child Matters, an international child development ministry which seeks to meet the physical and spiritual needs of children living in poverty.  They empower children to reach their God-given potential by creating opportunities for transformational development: spirit, mind, and body. Through their development programs, children receive food, education, medical aid, and hope in Jesus Christ. HC will launch this arena of Global Missions at HC in the spring of 2019.

We believe that first and foremost, God has called us to our city. So often, churches are guilty of reaching for their world but ignoring their own backyard. That’s why Heartland is committed to making a difference in our city by doing everything that we can to impact those around us.

Here are some of the ways that we are making that vision happen:

GRACE BRIDGE
Heartland Church has partnered with Grace Bridge and is a distribution site every first and third Saturday of the month providing food and personal care products to families in need. You can learn more about our partnership and what we’re doing here.

FIRST SATURDAYS
First Saturdays are an initiative that HC is taking to care for those who need assistance in our city. Whether that’s moving an elderly widow, assisting with the clean up of a yard, or reaching into nursing homes, HC partners gather on the first Saturday of each month for a prayer service from 9am-10am and then serve our city from 10am-1pm.

LOVE AND LIFE DAY
Each Summer, HC takes an entire day and dedicates it to loving our city. This past Summer, HC hosted over 25 service projects throughout our city and gave thousands of man hours to schools, clinics, individuals in need, and nursing homes.

When tragedy strikes, we believe that the church should be the first to respond. Whether it’s a hurricane, tornado, fire or flood, HC has partnered with Convoy of Hope and is training and has trained an emergency response team at HC ready in a moment’s notice when disaster strikes. Each year, HC is committed to sowing into Convoy as well as sending HC partners through trainings that prepare us.

In addition, if a disaster were to strike in our immediate area, HC is a candidate with Convoy as an emergency site headquarters.

Through our partnerships, we are ready to mobilize and give our partners the opportunity to make an immediate difference.

We believe that God has called us to extend the gospel not only to our city, but to our nation as well.

As a result, Heartland has formed a strategic relationship and is a member of ARC — The Association of Related Churches. ARC is not a denominational affiliation, but instead, a church-planting network that strategically vets and plants churches around the nation. Instead of giving directly into church plants, HC sows into ARC, which vets, trains, and strategically sows money into ARC plants who then pay back the interest-free loan over a period of years so that other churches can be planted.

Through our partnership with ARC, we’ve seen dozens of churches start with ministry friends in states like Michigan, Ohio, Arkansas, New York and Texas.
