HOPE SERVED HERE

Heartland Church exists to love people to life and one way we do that is providing hope to those in our community who are in need of assistance. Our goal is not to simply distribute food and other material goods, but to develop lasting relationships that, over time, will encourage those who receive help to return and help others.

If you need assistance or want to volunteer to help, check out the tabs below to learn more.

WHAT ARE FIRST SERVE SATURDAYS?
First Serve Saturdays begin with a prayer and worship service at 9am in our student auditorium. Everyone is welcome to join!

First Serve Saturdays were created to help our dream teamers serve the local community each month. We want to be the hands and feet of Christ in the community, and Serve Saturdays allow us to do just that! Serving this city is our calling!

1. Grace Bridge Food Distribution at Heartland Church

This project helps distribute food and personal care boxes to families who drive to the church for their donations. We help load up their vehicles and pray over the families who participate, all while offering encouragement. All ages are welcome! *This project meets in the student auditorium and is great for bilingual dream teamers* To register for this project, click here.

2. Grace Bridge Food Distribution at Evergreen Vista Ridge

We will take food to a local retirement community in Lewisville and serve several families there. We need 5-8 dream teamers to help deliver to the retirement apartments, pray with and encourage the residents. All ages are welcome! To register for this project, click here.

3. Women’s Prison Ministry (Letters of Hope)

Do you enjoy writing? Check out the Letters of Hope project! This team helps write letters of encouragement, devotionals, and send other encouraging materials to women in prison. We want to help build hope for these women who often feel they are in a hopeless situation. This project is currently suited for women. *Letters of Hope meets in the 5-6 year old room at church.* To register for this project, click here.

4. Food and Personal Care Packing

When we give food and items to families in need, we also want to encourage them by including handwritten cards and decorating the boxes they receive. We will provide the cards, packages, and art supplies; you bring your creativity! All ages are welcome! To register for this project, click here.

5. Clothed in Hope

Clothed in Hope supplies new clothing to local children and families in need! Our dream teamers will help sort all donations, remove new tags, and help take inventory. A great opportunity for all ages! *This project stays in the church lobby. Excellent for dream teamers needing minimal physical activity* To register for this project, click here.

6. New Neighbors Outreach

This team of dream teamers creates welcome packages to distribute to our new neighbors who have recently relocated into the local area of the church. We deliver a welcome box to their front door and invite them to join us at church. All ages are welcome to join! *This project may require light walking and minimal driving.*

7. School Campus Prayer Intercessor

This Serve team will go off-site to local school campuses and pray for each school. To register for this project, click here.

8. Homeless Outreach (Bibles & Blankets 4 Prayer)

This Serve team will go out and present the people in the most need in and around Carrollton with blankets and Bibles. Our lead team has been planning and dreaming about this outreach and hope that you will come and help us be the hands and feet of Jesus to the homeless near us. We need 5-10 volunteers over the age of 18 years old for this project. To register for this project, click here.
